How does it work?

This service allows anyone wishing to send money to Uganda to do so by using Juba Express Network. The money is credited in a recipient’s MTN or Airtel wallet instantly. Normally, it will take just a few seconds for the confirmation SMS to be received.

What is required to send money?

Here are the basic requirements:

Sender:

• A valid legal residence ID, or passport with Visa
• Source & purpose of funds

Recipient:

• Name and Address of the recipient
• A registered MTN or Airtel account

What are the transaction limits?

MTN Uganda: a maximum of UGX 7,000,000 per transfer
Airtel Uganda: a maximum of UGX 5,000,000 per transfer
